Skyglide Travels (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data when you visit skyglidetravels.in, contact us by phone/WhatsApp, or book Tempo Traveller / Luxury Urbania services (the “Services”).

We align this Policy with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and evolving rules. (The Act was enacted on 11 Aug 2023 and is being operationalized with draft rules; enforcement timelines may be phased.) meity.gov.in+2ICLG Business Reports+2

2) What data we collect

We collect the minimum data needed to confirm quotes, secure bookings, and provide support.

a) You provide directly

  • Identity & contact: name, mobile number, email.

  • Trip details: pickup/drop locations, date/time, passengers, vehicle preference (Tempo Traveller / Urbania), luggage notes.

  • Communication content: messages/call notes, feedback, complaints.

  • Payment info: payment status, transaction reference/UPI ID (we do not store full card/UPI credentials—handled by your payment provider).

b) Collected automatically

  • Device/usage data: IP address, timestamps, pages viewed, referral source, approximate location, and basic diagnostics.

  • Cookies and similar tech for session continuity, fraud prevention, and analytics (see §7).

c) From third parties (where lawful)

  • Payment gateways (payment confirmation/failure).

  • Messaging/telephony providers (delivery status, call meta—time/duration).

  • Advertising/analytics partners (aggregated conversion data).

We do not require Aadhaar, PAN, or other government identifiers for normal bookings. If a regulator or law requires KYC for a specific use-case, we will request only what is mandated and explain why at that time.

3) Purposes & lawful bases (DPDP)

We process personal data for:

  • Booking & service fulfilment: quotes, confirmations, dispatching vehicles, driver coordination, trip support (consent + contract performance).

  • Customer support: troubleshoot, handle complaints, refunds, changes/cancellations (legitimate interests + consent).

  • Communications: send booking updates, reminders, policy changes (legitimate interests/consent; marketing requires easy opt-out).

  • Security & fraud prevention: abuse/threat detection, platform integrity (legitimate interests/compliance with law).

  • Analytics & improvement: measure site usage, campaign effectiveness, improve UX (consent where required; otherwise legitimate interests).

  • Legal obligations: tax/GST records, responding to lawful requests (compliance with law).

(References to the DPDP Act and rights framework are based on the enacted law and public materials describing its scope and mechanisms.) meity.gov.in+1

4) Cookies & similar technologies

We use:

  • Essential (login/session security, load balancing).

  • Functional (remembering your inputs to pre-fill forms).

  • Analytics (aggregated traffic & conversions).

  • Advertising/attribution (measuring which ad led you to us).

Your browser provides controls to block/clear cookies. Where required, we’ll request consent via a banner. See §10 for choices.

5) Payment processing

Payments are processed by third-party gateways (e.g., UPI/bank/card providers). We receive only limited details (amount, status, masked references) to confirm your booking. Your payment credentials are handled under the gateway’s security and privacy controls.

6) Sharing & disclosures

We share data only as needed:

  • Operations: driver/partner assignment (name, pickup details, contact for trip coordination).

  • Vendors under contract: hosting, SMS/WhatsApp/telephony, email service, analytics/ads, security/fraud tools.

  • Legal: regulators, law enforcement, courts when legally required.

  • Corporate: business transfers (merger/acquisition) with continuity safeguards.

All vendors are bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations consistent with the DPDP framework. meity.gov.in

7) Data retention

  • Booking & billing records: typically 8 years (tax/accounting laws).

  • Support/complaints: up to 5 years from closure.

  • Analytics/ads identifiers: 3–24 months depending on tool settings.
We delete or irreversibly de-identify data when retention ends unless a longer period is required by law or to resolve disputes.

8) Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures: HTTPS, access controls, least-privilege, encryption in transit, vendor due-diligence, and staff confidentiality. No method is 100% secure; we aim to reduce risk with layered controls.

9) Children’s data

Our Services are for individuals 18+. We do not knowingly collect children’s data. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us to delete it.

10) Your choices & rights (DPDP)

Subject to the DPDP Act, you can:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.

  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

  • Delete data that is no longer necessary or where consent is withdrawn.

  • Withdraw consent (for marketing/optional cookies) without affecting service essentials.

  • Grievance redressal: escalate concerns to our Grievance Officer (contacts above) and, if unresolved upon the Act coming into force, to the Data Protection Board of India as provided under the DPDP framework. meity.gov.in+1

How to exercise: email contact@skyglidetravels.in with subject “DPDP Request – [Right]”. We may verify your identity and respond within a reasonable time.

11) International transfers

If vendor systems process data outside India, we implement appropriate safeguards permitted under the DPDP framework and ensure vendors meet comparable protection standards. (Cross-border mechanisms are expected to be clarified through DPDP Rules.) Press Information Bureau

12) Data breaches

If a personal data breach occurs, we will take prompt remedial action and provide legally required notifications to affected users and competent authorities as applicable under the DPDP regime. ICLG Business Reports+1

13) Third-party links & communications

Our website may link to third-party sites or open WhatsApp/phone apps for your convenience. Their data practices are governed by their own policies; please review them before use.

14) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect legal, technical, or business changes. The “Effective date” shows the latest version. Material changes will be notified on this page and/or via email/SMS where feasible.

15) Contact & grievances

  • Email: contact@skyglidetravels.in

  • Phone/WhatsApp: +91-6393485727

  • Grievance Officer: [Isha Verma & Ravi Singh], Skyglide Travels (same contacts)

Quick benchmark vs. Sat Sahib Cabs (what we improved)

  • Clear DPDP alignment & rights (access/correct/delete/withdraw consent, grievance flow) rather than a generic notice. meity.gov.in+1

  • Specific retention windows (bookings, support, analytics) instead of open-ended storage.

  • Children’s data stance (18+)—often omitted on cab sites.

  • International transfers & vendor safeguards—anticipating DPDP Rules. Press Information Bureau

  • Payment handling clarity—we don’t store full card/UPI details.

Legal note (plain English)

This Policy is designed to be DPDP-ready based on the enacted Act and publicly available summaries; if the final DPDP Rules introduce new requirements (e.g., specific consent formats, breach-report timelines, cross-border conditions), we’ll update accordingly.
